The Adaptive Optics Group was the initiator and main organiser of the first Workshop on Adaptive Optics for Industry and Medicine (Shatura, Russia, 1997). The group is actively participating in the annual Photonics West SPIE Conferences on Laser Resonators 1998-2009 (Conf. Chair Dr. Alexis Kudryashov) - http://www.spie.org/, International Workshops on Adaptive Optics for Industry and Medicine are attending every two year in different countries.
